I have just had another spell in hospital. My Motor Neurone Disease has shut down swallowing.
So I now get food through a tube directly into my stomach.
No taste. No texture. But guaranteed nourishment.
And I can no longer speak. But I can use text to speech on my devices to communicate.
How I cope with this decline is what matters.
It is wonderful that I have options such as this, which were not available to my mother when she had MND in the 1980s.
